Beth Mills
Licensed Acupuncturist, Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Practitioner
Beth Mills LAc, AEMP, is a Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist with the NCCAOM, and has been practicing since graduating from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2015.
Beth has a special interest in treating diverse patient populations and focuses on treating chronic and acute pain, female reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum, digestive disorders, insomnia, anxiety, depression and PTSD. Along with starting her own practice in 2016, Beth has worked both in public health settings giving group treatments in an addiction and recovery center, and in private practice settings within acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, and functional medicine clinics. She has studied with the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School with Master Liu He and Dr. Liu Dong.
Beth considers time with a patient as sacred time for balancing the body, mind, and spirit to create harmony and clear any blockages that may be preventing health and well-being. Her treatments are specialized for each patient every time a patient comes into the clinic. She likes to include bodywork and other modalities in her treatments especially Tuina massage, cranial-sacral work, cupping, guasha and moxabustion. She loves to share Daoist concepts for better health with lifestyle and dietary choices that work with the seasons.
Outside of the clinic, Beth enjoys yoga, meditation, qigong, hiking and gardening.
Beth's Story
My personal healing journey really started when I began pursuing massage and acupuncture treatments for my chronic pain. I found both modalities helpful, and in fact, I found acupuncture could help with other assorted issues I was working on. Acupuncture quickly became the main healing modality I used as a patient. I saw the same Naturopath/Acupuncturist for 20 years, until he retired. Certainly I fashioned my own early practice from this wonderful experience.
During this time I began working in medical offices as an administrative support person. Over the span of 15 years, I worked in both acupuncture/natural medicine clinics and allopathic medicine clinics. The last clinic I worked for was an oncology clinic, and I often spoke with the patients there about acupuncture and herbs, and how they might help during their chemo and radiation treatments.
I finally decided to go back to school in mid-life to become an acupuncturist and herbalist. This work is the joy of my life, and I love working with patients on their healing journey.
