She is also experienced in supporting natural labor preparation and postpartum recovery.
History

I began studying bodywork and various physical therapies in my early 20’s to find healing and reconnection to myself. After a few years of working as a Licensed Massage Therapist primarily focused on deep tissue, I sought out deeper and more efficient ways of working with the body and continued my education around soft osteopathic modalities such as visceral manipulation and craniosacral therapy, and I started shifting my work away from deep tissue to gentler osteopathic approaches that focused on releasing tension patterns in the nervous system. During this time, I was experiencing profound relief and integration from the acupuncture I was receiving. While I enjoyed working solely with my hands, my curiosity around Eastern medicine was growing and I eventually enrolled in a master’s program for Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. After becoming a mother and applying my knowledge firsthand to myself and to my growing family, my focus was naturally pulled towards the importance of infant and maternal health. As my life began to orient around postpartum and infant care at home, my independent studies and clinical care took shape around this area, too, and I began offering in home and in office sessions to mothers and infants to address post-birth care. While my most recent focus has been on perinatal care, I have always enjoyed supporting all who seek to benefit from these different healing modalities. I feel fortunate to have been able to share these healing approaches with others from all walks of life, from infants and mothers to those living with complex conditions and chronic pain.

Additional Training
Ash also has extensive training in Visceral Manipulation through the Barrall Institute.  Visceral manipulation (VM) which is an osteopathic modality utilizing external non-invasive massage for both women and men, that aids digestion and reproductive health. VM is also known to release adhesions while healing scar tissue from past trauma, infection or surgical procedures. This technique promotes the flow of blood, lymph, and Qi for optimal health. VM is helpful for numerous digestive disharmonies, and well suited for hormonal imbalances, thus nurturing and detoxifying the digestive and reproductive systems.Ash is also trained in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).
BCST uses light touch to work with the body’s soft tissues, particularly around the head, spine, and sacrum, to release tension, traumas, and stress while supporting the body’s natural healing processes. It is a whole-body approach, recognizing that physical, emotional, and mental patterns are interconnected, and that unresolved trauma or stress can manifest as pain, anxiety, or other health issues.
